Chipotle Kid Power Festival and Swap Meet

Discovery Green will host a kid’s swap meet where your child can rent a booth and sell their favorite old toys. Teaching your kids entrepreneurship at an early age is something we believe in!

Memorial Day in the Woodlands

Fireworks, live music, vendors and more Saturday through Sunday at Waterway Square! Each night will culminate in an impressive Fireworks display!

Houston Zoo Memorial Day Free Day

You can celebrate the day with free admission to the Houston Zoo. With animals, attractions and a kid-friendly atmosphere, your day is sure to be filled with plenty of furry friends!

Kemah Boardwalk

Dive into summer, food and fun on the delightful boardwalk that has been entertaining families in and around the Houston area for eleven years!

City Wide Club

What They Do

City Wide Club of America is the outgrowth of an effort begun in 1975 by local high school and college students wanting to give back to their local community (Harris County) of their time and talent.

Annual Christmas Eve Feast

Takes place at the George R. Brown Convention Center, early morning till about 5 p.m. 35,000 to 40,000 persons are expected to attend. Volunteers will be needed to help with setup and to serve the meals. Shift times are flexible and can be arranged for almost any time between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Volunteers are invited to partake in the meal. Call: City Wide Club of Clubs, (713)523-1640.

At Grand View Builders, we’re running into 2012 with some exciting home building plans ahead! But, before we step forward, let’s take a quick look at the year in review.

We were just in the news for reporting great growth in 2011! Our year-over-year growth was 125 homes throughout Houston, Dallas, and Austin. Some of this growth was attributed to our Build on Your Lot program, that allows you to build a custom home on your own lot of land, and the announcement of our Build for Bastrop program, which would enable Texans affected by the Bastrop wildfires to rebuild within 90 days.

In 2012 we’re growing by two new communities (stay tuned for details!). Grand View Builder’s newest neighborhood, Foster Glen, in Conroe, TX, features up to nine unique floor plans, each boasting Whirlpool appliances, Delta fixtures, and Wilsonart countertops, and with prices starting at $90,000. All Grand View Builder homes include a three-hour design center appointment with a professional designer, and one-on-one meetings with the Grand View home-building team to give homebuyers the chance to be involved with the process from start to finish.

Grand View Builders hosted a Realtor Preview Luncheon yesterday (April 19, 2011) at one of our newest communities, The Village of Oak Forest. The grab-and-go lunch went off without a hitch! We had quite a turnout to view the inventory homes and got to speak with several great realtors in the Houston area.

With homes from the $160,000’s and several amazing community features including the brand new Oak Forest Library and the scenic TC Jester Park, The Village of Oak Forest is now being referred to as “A little mini Bellaire”. The Village of Oak Forest is only 15 minutes from downtown Houston, making it easily accessible to anyone working inside the loop!

As promised, we had a raffle drawing of business cards at the luncheon for three lucky realtors to each win a $50 American Express gift card. Congratulations to James Brown, Mary Zepeda, and Linell Jones for winning the drawing!  Thank you to everyone who came out for lunch and toured the homes.
